Teacher Wellness

Wellbeing sessions provide participants with strategies to identify problems, create solutions and build self-confidence. 
 
The Listening Ear session will allow individuals a judgment-free zone to empty themselves of things that burden them. During this time, we will initiate the problem-solving process. By the end of each session, the participant will feel a sense of relief and have a list of strategies to be proactive and not reactive to a situation when it arrives. 
The Motivation and Encouragement session will boost the participants' self-confidence by incorporating strategies that promote physical, behavioral, cognitive, and emotional growth and change.

Building Resilience

Resilience Sessions provide participants with solutions on how to thrive in demanding situations. Participants will bounce back from adversity and move forward from challenging life events. We create support systems and strategies that help participants handle difficult situations without feeling overwhelmed. 

 

While working through the session, the participants will:

  • plan with the end in mind

  • know their desired results and actions needed to obtain them

  • learn from past experiences

  • reevaluate and alter plans

Creating & Implementing Effective Plans

Our Strategic session will assist the teachers with preparing, presenting, and reflecting on the lesson. Many teachers have excellent ideas and are creative but have difficulty explaining and navigating the teaching, facilitating, and learning process. 

Our goal is to assist the teacher in seeing the bigger picture: what is being taught, why it needs to be taught, how it will be taught, what knowledge you want the students to receive from the lesson, and did the students receive that knowledge. While working through the Strategic session, the teachers will:

  • learn to articulate and explain why the objective is necessary

  •  indicate how the students will be successful 

  • incorporate different learning modalities

  • implement plans effectively

  • collect and analyze data

  • Evaluate outcomes 

 

Once a teacher understands all the steps to create and implement a plan, they will be able to engage all learners and produce a meaningful learning experience with their students.

Professional Development

Teachers need to know what, how, and why they are teaching and how to handle educational adversities and challenges. A teacher has to create and implement plans that will enhance student learning. Being prepared is essential for success. Without a plan, the teacher will not succeed at teaching a skill. Teachers have many roles to perform. Without the proper preparation, the teacher will experience confusion throughout the day.

Teachers are on the frontline every day. This means they have influence and responsibilities but are also at risk. As empathetic beings, teachers usually go beyond the call of duty to ensure the students in their care have all the needed resources. Teachers' own self-care and wellness are sacrificed for the well-being of others. Teachers strive to provide the best education for their students, but sometimes they need support that is normally not offered through their schools.

Throughout this learning experience, your teachers will find renewed strength by engaging in rich discussion, deep reflection, and collaboration in strength identification activities. They will explore problem-solving strategies to learn how to be proactive instead of responding after a situation arrives. Teacher self-confidence will increase by navigating multiple strategies that promote physical, behavioral, cognitive, and emotional growth and change. Our Strategic session will explain and assist the teachers with preparing, presenting, and reflecting on the lesson. Teachers will elaborate on goals, indicate how the students will be successful, use different learning modalities, implement effectively, and collect and analyze data. Once teachers understand how to execute all the strategies, they will be effective and productive members of your school community. Teachers will evaluate their newfound knowledge by implementing strategic applications in their learning environment.

Empowerment Framework

  • Engage- ask questions, make discoveries, test discoveries, gain understanding

  • Explore- (the phenomenon of what if) ask, investigate, create, discuss, reflect

  • Explain- describe findings

  • Elaborate- work out in detail and apply knowledge to the new task

  • Evaluate- self-assess, reflect
